A special gathering  of former Exeter City players will take place at the home match with Cambridge United this Saturday (22 October).

The event is being held  thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund backed project on the history of St James Park. The project is being led by the University of Exeter in partnership with the Exeter City History Group set up by the Supporters Trust.

Around 50 former players are expected to attend and will be sharing their memories with the project team as well as being presented to the crowd at half-time.

During the reunion the History Group will be officially launching their online Grecian Archive including its A-Z of every player who has turned out for City's first team.

The gathering is part of a wider effort to involve and celebrate the contribution of former players. Many former players have now been interviewed for the Grecian Archive, further inductions to the Exeter City Hall of Fame are being planned and it is hoped a Former Players Association can be established.
