One of the region’s top insurance brokers announced their next charity challenge at a special anniversary party last week.

Northcott Beaton, based in Exeter, celebrated their 25th anniversary at a 90s themed celebration held at the prestigious Woodbury Park Hotel.

Guests and business associates were invited from across the region and were treated to a three-course meal followed by a disco.

Directors Keiron Northcott and Nick Beaton launched the NB Big Challenge this summer by walking the 66-mile Exe Valley Endurance. They raised £4,800 for the Exeter Foundation, which was presented to the charity’s chairman Tony Rowe, during the party.

The Exeter Foundation is the Exeter Chiefs charity, which exists only to raise money for other charities.

Among those it has helped are ELF, Dream Away and Force.

Following the dinner, Nick and Keiron announced that the 2017 challenge would involve another extensive hike.

Nick said: “We are delighted to announce that Keiron and I will be walking from Dartmouth to Ladram Bay next summer for the NB Big Challenge to raise even more money for the Exeter Foundation. Even though this year’s challenge was tough, it was great fun and definitely an experience that we will never forget!”

Special guests have pledged to join them on stretches of the walk, including celebrity chef Michael Caines, however, they have issued an open invitation for anyone to join them.

After the party, Keiron said: “The whole team thoroughly enjoyed the anniversary bash at Woodbury Park. It was great to see all our friends and family having a good time and we hope everyone enjoyed the 90s theme! Here’s to many more years of business.”

Guests enjoyed music from Devon musician Sadie Horler who played a set of 90s songs including Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ and The Proclaimers ‘500 miles’. Disco Danny provided the evening music with guests dancing way into the night.
