It’s back!  Exeter’s highly successful Ladies Do Lunch re-launches next month with a glorious Christmas celebration.

The new look luncheon club is now being run by renowned after dinner speaker Sally Sedgman who previously hosted Ladies Do lunches at the Royal Clarence Hotel on Cathedral Green.

"There’s no better time to launch the new club than at Christmas," said Sally (pictured) who is known all over the South West for her many television and radio appearances as well as speaking engagements.

She even won a whole ITV series, Hurrah It’s Sally Sedgman, on the strength of her unusual voice with its distinctive round vowels.

"We launched the original Ladies Do Lunch nearly twelve years ago and it’s grown into a major monthly event that is regularly sold out," said Sally.

"Changes at Abode meant they couldn’t fulfil the back office work involved.  We have a database of more than 700 names so we decided we couldn’t let it just dwindle.  So my administrator and I have now taken over the event and decided to continue at Abode because we know our members love going there."

On the agenda for the first lunch on Monday December 7 will be of course a delicious lunch and a chance to mix and mingle over a glass of champagne.

With Christmas by then just a couple of weeks away, florists from Darts Farm will be creating a table centrepiece measuring over three feet, a fresh door wreath and a floral necklace for a winter bride. Plus Tara Huffman returns with her wrapping and rolling presentation using recycled products to make fabulous Christmas parcels.
