Reed Hall, Exeter University was the perfect setting for Life Education Wessex's very first fundraising event in Devon to help raise funds to support health, wellbeing and drug prevention education for children in primary schools across the county.

The event was hosted by Travelling Trends who provided all the latest high street branded clothing at highly discounted prices. Miss Devon, Brianna Evans along with Eliza Tidball, Fran Rigby, Gail Russell, Zilla Harford and Juliette Dubieniec modelled the latest high street fashions including spring and summer collections for all shapes and sizes.

Lorraine Hewitt, Fundraising Manager, said: "we were delighted with what was achieved and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped to make this event a success, from those that donated prizes for the raffle and silent auction, to our wonderful volunteer models and our forever willing Barclays volunteers and their employer who will be match funding money raised on the night. Thanks also to our lead sponsor Thomas Westcott and to our generous guests who dug deep on the night to raise £3,951 that will enable us to delivery our health and wellbeing programmes into local schools."

With minimal government funding Life Education Wessex relies on the support of the local community to help raise funds to reach more children with their message of healthy living.

Shona Godefroy, Partner at Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants, said: "The Fashion Show was an exceptional night for a charity that carries out such vital work in our communities.

"We were extremely proud to sponsor this great social event in Exeter and couldn't be more pleased that so many people turned out and donated generously to support the Life Education team's important work."

Following the success of this event Life Education Wessex are planning a Charity Golf day on Thursday 8th June 2017 at the prestigious Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club Hotel and are looking for teams of 4 to take part in a stableford competition at £250 per team.
