On Friday (22 July), local councillors, tenants and housing professionals came together to celebrate the official completion of The Guinness Partnership’s latest homes in Topsham, Exeter.

The ten brand new homes on the new Seabrook Orchards estate, developed by Bloor Homes, are comprised of two and three bedroom houses, with six for social rent and four for
shared-ownership.

Allan Ramsay, Director of Investment and Commercial at The Guinness Partnership, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer brand new homes to the people of Topsham in a community that has so much to offer. Seabrook Orchards is a fantastic development and we’re grateful to both Bloor Homes and Exeter City Council for their ongoing support.”

Councillor Rachel Sutton, Portfolio Holder for City Development at Exeter City Council, said: “One of Exeter City Council’s key priorities is to provide a place where everyone has access to a decent and affordable home. It is fantastic to work with The Guinness Partnership who are turning this into reality at Seabrook Orchards.

“The delivery of these new homes is crucial to supporting our community, with each affordable home making a huge difference to an individual household or young family.”

One of the tenants who moved in earlier this year was Alex Speed, with her children, eight-month-old Edward and four-year-old Mila. Alex said: “I’m absolutely delighted with my new home.”
