Crealy Meadows at Crealy Adventure Park & Resort has won gold at the Devon Tourism Awards 2016 in the ‘Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year’ category. This year the awards saw over 600 entries from across Dorset, Somerset, Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly. Judi Spiers hosted the awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday 10th November at the University of Exeter’s Great Hall, with a guest appearance from Exeter-based Olympian Jo Pavey.

Successful nominees will be invited to represent the county at the National Visit England Awards in 2017 as well as fast tracked into the South West Tourism Excellence Awards, also taking place next year.

Josh Haywood, General Manager of Crealy Adventure Park & Resort said: “We are immensely proud to have received the award for Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year at the Visit Devon Tourism Awards 2016. Our team at Crealy works hard to ensure guests enjoy their experience and have the best facilities during their stay. Our resort has seen a number of developments and improvements over the last 12 months, and we have plans for further expansion next year. We would like to thank all of our guests for staying with us and look forward to another exciting year ahead.”

Crealy Resort offers guests a wide range of camping and accommodation options from brand new luxury lodges, to themed glamping tents as well as pitches for guests wishing to bring their own tent or caravan. Guests are treated to five star facilities with modern bathroom blocks that feature underfloor heating and touch control showers. As part of their dedication to giving parents the best possible stay, Crealy Meadows also offers spacious family bathrooms. Children can also be treated to character breakfasts with Buddy Bear and Blossom as well as pony experiences to enhance their stay. The Resort’s shop is fully stocked with essentials and even offers firewood and kindling for restocking the wood burners that feature in the lodges and glamping tents. Parents can relax knowing there are plenty of catering options nearby and can choose to eat in or take food back to enjoy in their tent or lodge.

Guests staying in the lodges and glamping tents have complementary access to the Adventure Park – a mere 2 or 3 minutes’ walk so little ones can enjoy all the entertainment on offer including the rides, play areas and restaurants.

The new luxury lodges offer guests the chance to enjoy the Resort in complete comfort and style. Each lodge features a sunken hot tub and fully equipped kitchen complete with a dishwasher to ensure a restful holiday. The cedar-clad lodges are sited in their own secluded area, away from the main campsite. Each comes with a beautifully styled open plan living area, real beds and en-suite bathrooms as well as central heating, electric wood burner style fires, a TV and entertainment system and a large, decked patio area with rattan outdoor furniture so guests can enjoy al fresco dining as well as dips in their own private hot tub.
