A leading local law firm, which was recently named UK Law Firm of the Year, has been shortlisted for a hat-trick of national awards.

Stephens Scown LLP, the current holder of the British Legal Awards’ UK Law Firm of the Year title, is in the running for three awards in the Managing Partners’ Forum Awards 2017.

The winners will be revealed on 8 March and Stephens Scown is shortlisted for: best managed national firm, best leadership of a mould-breaking firm and best corporate culture.

The Managing Partners’ Forum is a membership organisation dedicated to helping professional firms grow and improve performance and its awards attract entrants from the best professional firms in the UK and around the world.

Robert Camp, Stephens Scown’s managing partner said: “Recognition by our peers like this is very gratifying because I know how much work has gone on behind the scenes in our firm to change and improve. We continue to push the boundaries of what is expected of a law firm and were the first large law firm to introduce an employee ownership trust to give everyone who works here an equal share of our profits.”

Stephens Scown is also currently in the running to be named the national public champion for the UK in the European Business Awards. Voting is open until 1 March, and people can vote for Stephens Scown at http://www.businessawardseurope.com/vote/detail-new/united-kingdom/21493.

Stephens Scown has over 290 staff, including more than 50 partners, across its offices in Exeter, Truro and St Austell. It was named UK Law Firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2016. For more information visit www.stephens-scown.co.uk
