Conference places available for key office staff

Delegate places at a unique conference offering training, development and networking for key office staff from across the south west are being snapped up quickly.

The inaugural Joint PA Networks’ conference has been developed through a collaboration between the PA Networks of Exeter, Bristol and Cardiff.

The event, which takes place at the Mercure Grand Hotel in Bristol from 9am until 5.30pm on Friday October 14, has been designed to cater for personal assistants, virtual assistants, secretaries and administrative staff.

Kim Glover, of the Exeter PA Network, said: ‘In response to feedback, the three networks have come together to deliver this inaugural, full day conference, jam packed with learning and development. With four keynote speakers, opportunities for networking and industry related exhibitors, this conference will offer something for everyone.

‘Many chief executives and bosses say their PA or secretaries are one of the most vital components of their businesses, yet our research shows there is little in the way of development or training for these employees. With this conference we are aiming to right this. We want business leaders to appreciate that investing in their employees is the key to developing not only their skills, but also their loyalty.’

Speakers include:

  • Will Kintish, the UK's foremost expert in business networking.
  • Kate Doodson of Cosmic Ethical IT, digital experts based in Honiton, Devon, who will deliver a session on digital in the workplace, showcasing new software and apps to improve efficiency.
  • Prith Biant of the Cardiff-based Creative Thinking Company who will talk about what creativity is, why we need it and how to maintain a creative mindset going forward.
  • Sasha McLennan of the Cardiff Pilates Studio and former Pilates Foundation Board member, who will introduce 10 easy steps to ‘workplace wellness’.

There will also be opportunities for delegates to network.

Kim added: ‘Most of these conferences take place in London and are often more than £300 for a place.

We have aimed to make this affordable and regional. We can also offer advice for delegates on how to write and present a business case to request training.’

The Conference will take place on Friday, 14 October at The Mercure Grand Hotel in Bristol, 9am- 5.30pm.

Tickets are priced £149 for a full day’s learning, with lunch and refreshments included. To find out more about the conference and book a place visit www.exeterpanetwork.com/events or email hello@exeterpanetwork.com
