City network group takes its message to the top

ONE of Exeter’s most successful networking, training and support groups will be demonstrating its value to company bosses at a special event next month.

Following requests from its members and local businesses, Exeter PA Network is holding a free ‘showcase’ event.

Employers will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of their administrative staff belonging to the network and find out more about how it can boost their business.

Kim Glover, founder of the Exeter PA Network, said: ‘At our showcase we will be sharing how we support local businesses and their admin professionals by creating opportunities for PAs to attend development events, build their personal networks, enhance their understanding of the local business community, and the challenges businesses are facing, as well as increase their awareness of individuals and companies their organisations could do business with.

'We often hear that PAs want to attend our events, but aren't sure if their organisations will support them. We also hear from organisations that they would be supportive, but often don't know what's available to them. By sharing more details directly with employers, we hope to overcome these challenges.’

Light refreshments will be on offer. There will also be an opportunity to network with other like-minded business leaders and hear more about this successful group, which has a membership of more than 500 staff from companies across the city.

The event will feature presentations by Kim Glover, Lucy Brazier, CEO of Executive Secretary Magazine, Malcolm Dickinson, Managing Partner, Michelmores LLP and Nigel Hare, Operations Director, Devon Air Ambulance.

It takes place from 5.30pm on Thursday, 6 April at Michelmores, Pynes Hill, Exeter, EX2 5WR.
